Pokhara, the heavenly city located around 200 kms west of Kathmandu is beautifully decorated with natural lakes, mountains surrounding it. Pokhara city lies in the Pokhara valley, which is accessible with a drive of around 6 hours all the way along rivers, hills, landscapes, beautiful sceneries from Kathmandu, 5 hours from Chitwan, another important tourist venue of Nepal. 
 
Touristically, Pokhara is Nepal’s second most visited place after Kathmandu. Not merely because of its beauties, Pokhara is visited as major transit point of most of the Annapurna region trekking route. Major trekking routes including the Ghorepani, Annapurna base camp, Jomsom, Kagbeni and even Mustang trekking is originated from Pokhara itself. Nowhere in other touristic places in the world, have the mountains had rison as quickly as Pokhara valley do.
 
Boating in Phewa Lake brings you most of romances at once with hills plus mountainous views to the north while the world peace stupa to the weatern top above the hill. Sarangkot is popular place near Pokhara to see the mountain views as well as the sunrise view from Sarangkot is incredible, one of the best in the world. World peace stupa, which lies at the western shore of the hills surrounding the Pokhara valley, is made to pray for the worldwide peace. The Davi’s falls, one of the wonders of Nepal has a long gorge water inside which gets disappeared to re-appear after around 300 mtrs away. Bindabashini temple, Barahi temple are famous Hindu temples while Seti River falls is of another important sightseeing venue in Pokhara.
 
Overall, visit to pokhara is wonderful itself to have entertained leisure or to make it a transit while traveling to places. Major beautiful places like Tansen, Bandipur, Chitwan, Lumbini and Baglung are easily accessible from Pokhara.
