Lower Dolpo Trek Nepal

 

Lower Dolpo trekking Nepal:

The Phoksundo Lake, deepest in Nepal lies in the western dolpo region just neighboured the the Bonpo village of Ringmo. A mixture of landscapes, pine forests on the base of rocky hills makes the trail a lifetime memorial trip. In addition, Bonpo culture and lifestyle of the localities is one of the oldest in Nepalese as well as Tibetan culture. Below is an itinerary for Phoksundo Lake trekking whilst the trekking route is customizable.  

Lower dolpo / Phonsukdo Lake trekking itinerary :

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival to Kathmandu, airport pickup by our office representatives and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Evenings are generally allowed free to have plenty of time shopping at your own nearby your hotel. Overnight in Hotel ( 1350 mtrs ).

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu. The Sightseeing in Kathmandu on this day includes sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square etc. overnight in Hotel in Kathmandu. ( 1350 mtrs )

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. After breakfast, fly to Nepalgunj, one of the lowland cities of Nepal, Nepalgunj is interesting in itself with ethnic cultures, traditional ethnic groups and lifestyle of people there. Overnight in Nepalgunj. ( 153 mtrs)

Day 04: Fly Nepalgunj to Juphal. Fly from Nepalbunj to Juphal, have some rest day in Juphal. Overnight. ( 2475 mtrs )

Day 05: Trekking from Juphal to Chhepka. This day’s trek is shorter to the riverside village of Chhepka. Overnight ( 2838 mtrs )

Day 06: Trekking from Chhepka to Chunwar. There is a local hospital here. People believe that religious hospital works to get them rid of the diseases. Overnight in Chunwar ( 3110 mtrs )

Day 07: Trek to Phoksundo Lake. This day is interesting, you will trek to the most fascinating lake the Phoksundo Lake, you will access with the views of Suli Gadi River falls, which is Nepal’s highest waterfall. Ringmo village at the other shore of Phoksundo village is amazingly situated with Bonpo culture mixed with Buddhism. The place is rarely influenced by the modernization of current world. Overnight in Phoksundo Lake, Ringmo village (3650 mtrs ).

Day 08: Trek back to Chunwar, Amchi hospital. Overnight ( 3110 mtrs).

Day 09: Trek back to Kageni, overnight ( 2413 mtrs)

Day 10: Trek back to Juphal ( 2475 mtrs )

Day 11: Fly to Nepalgunj – Kathmandu. Overnight ( 1350 mtrs )

Day 12: free time in Kathmandu for shopping.

Day 13: Departure.
