Historical tour to Nepal

This tour itinerary is specially designed for history and Arts students to make them known about Nepal’s ancient history. Some of the monuments which the students will be able to see are linked to the unification of Nepal, some are linked to the creation of Kathmandu valley and some give a glimpse of very first reign in Nepal’s history. Students will be able to research, explore and gain knowledge of backgrounds of ancient Nepal. Out of many possible itineraries, below is a glimpse of itinerary that can be made.

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu on this day. Sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa. Students may take note out in the evening of the visited places in hotel. Overnight in the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan Temple. Overnight in Nagarkot on this day. The Students may take notes out of the visited places. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Day 04: Drive from Nagarkot to Gorkha. This day, visit the Famous Gorkha Palace which links the history back to the unification of Nepal. Overnight in Gorkha. This day, there will be a basic facility of accommodation.

Day 05: Drive from Gorkha to Pokhara. This day, students can refresh theirselves with boating in Phewa Lake, visiting some of the interesting sites inside Pokhara.

Day 06: Drive to Tansen. Visit the ancient Tensen palace, these days, there is little remnants of the Tansen Palace while it will be worth for students who want to gain the political history of Nepal, continue driving to Lumbini. Overnight in Lumbini.

Day 07: Sightseeing in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The whole day exploration of the mayadevi Garden, the Ashoka Stupa, the Holy pond and surroundings. Overnight in Lumbini.

Day 08: A kind of fun can be added to students in this trip now onwards. Drive to Chitwan National Park to enjoy the wildlive activities. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 09: Whole day activities in Chitwan National Park. Elephant Safari, Canoeing, visit the Elephant Breeding center, enjoy the sunrise in the evening from bank of Rapti River, enjoy the cultural dance etc. overnight in Chitwan.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu. Stay overnight in Kathmand. In the evening, students may wish to shop around in Thamel.

Day 11: Free time before the flight to onward destination.
