Ghalegaun Trekking Nepal

Ghalegaun trekking:

The incredible Gurung Village of Ghalegaun is situated at the base of Lamjung Mountain in northern Central Nepal, very near to Pokhara. The place is increasingly becoming a tourist hub for its beauties, the mountain views as available from here and the lifestyle, culture of local villagers. The place lies in north of Lamjung district at around 7 kms drive from Kathmandu at an altitude of 2100 meters. The beautiful village of Ghalegaun offers stunning mountain views of Annapurna, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, Buddha Himal, Himchuli and many other small peaks which increase the romance of one being here in Ghalegaun. has always been trying to increase the village tourism through sustainable art of tourism; here we offer you a tour itinerary for ghalegaun trekking in Nepal.
This short trek is the perfect compliment discovering some of the other highlights of Nepal – historic towns, white water rafting and the Kingdom’s most famous national park.

Ghalegaun Trekking itinerary:

Days 01: Arrival to Kathmandu. Arrival to Kathmandu is spectacular with the mountains just in front of you before landing to the airport, the landscapes you see from Kathmandu itself is wonderful. Upon arrival, meet our airport representatives and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu. Ths sightseeing in Kathmandu on this day includes sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square etc. Some of glimpses of Kathmandu can be seen through the sightseeing inside Kathmandu valley on this day. Free evening and overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: From Kathmandu, drive to Besisahar, the trekking starting point of this trek. The very busy trade center of this region besisahar lies very near to Marshyandgi River. You will then start your trekking along the Marshyangdi River to khundi for your first overnight stay in the trekking region.

Day 04: Continue your trek to Ghaledaun, starting with the trail along the Khudi River continues by the villages and waterfalls. The around 5 hour climg will worth to it when you will be amazed with the sunrise view at the Annapurna and Manaslu Mountain plains. A warm welcome by the villagers in Ghalegaun is wonderful. Overnight in Ghalegaun.

Day 05: On this day, visit the Ghanapokhara village before you start descending down to Vujung village, a traditional Gurung village situated by the forests of Rhodondrens. Overnight in Vujung Village.

Day 06: Trek from Bhujung village to Pasgaun. Pass the bridge, rivers and hike small hills to reach the Pasgaun Village. Overnight in Pasgaun.

Day 07: A steep down trek followed by another hike which will worth at the end of it when you will again see the panorama of mountains just in front of you. This day you will pass night at Pakhrikot.

Day 08: Trekking from Pakhrikot to Thumkikot. This around 3 hours trek ends at Thumkikot from where there are transportation facilities are available to Pokhar. Drive to Pokhara for a overnight stay.

Day 09: Sightseeing in Pokhara. The sightseeing in Pokhara on this day includes sunrise view from Sarangkot, boating in the popular Phewa Lake, visiting the world peace stupa, visiting the davi’s falls, Mahendra Cave, Bindabasini temple etc. overnight in Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. The drive on this day passes along a series of landscapes, villages, towns, markets and small settlements. Drive along the Marshyangdi River followed by Trishuli River. Upon arrival to Kathmandu, Check in the hotel. Free evening to shop around in Kathmandu.

Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu. Visit around at your own.

Day 12: Final Departure. Service Ends.
