Chitwan national park is the first national park of Nepal established in 1973 by the then Royal family which was called Royal Chitwan National park before the political change of Nepal which excluded the King and his family in 2006. The Chitwan National Park is enlisted in world Heritage sites by UNESCO.
It is accessible from a 6 hours drive from Kathmandu along Trishuli and Narayani River as well as with a flight from Kathmandu which takes around 20 minutes to Land at Bharatpur Airport.
Wild live activities are widely popular in Chitwan favored by both domestic as well as international tourists. It is a popular leisure relaxation place. Calm, tranquil, apart from the noisy atmosphere of the city, Chitwan offers many wild live activities as well as you can explore one of extinct localities; the Tharu.
Elephant Safari in Chitwan brings you views of most of the endangered animals including the one horned Rhinoceros, many deers, Monkeys and sometimes even the Royal Bengal Tiger. While you are in Canoeing tour, aquatic animals; fishes, Crocodiles and snakes can be seen. You even encounter with many bird species alongside the river banks. While you are in Elephant Breeding center, series of Elephant mothers can be seen with their new babies, their activities are just lovely. A sunset view from the bank of Rapti River is awesome, and a musical show by the Tharu people is amazingly incredible culture show.
